I own a couple of larger more professional style drones and I would never consider flying them indoors for fun, but these fill that void. They are very small and the controls are fairly similar to a traditional full size drone. The size of them make them perfect for terrorizing the airways in your home. The propellers have a protective shroud and them, making it less likely to injure anyone you may inadvertently run into. The shroud also protects your propellers from damage as you learn to fly them. The drones will automatically shut off the motors if the drone is flipped upside down. The controls are pretty good for a drone at this price point. It is very responsive yet it will tend to drift as it is not GPS stabilized like my larger drones. So keep it moving or you are bound to be against a wall and behind a couch somewhere. These are a great gift for children and a fun toy for the big kid in the house.

This is a very good basic drone, and would be well suited to someone who wanted to learn the basics without risking a high-priced, more advanced drone. I'm actually surprised at how many high-tech bells and whistles are in a model in this price range. The GPS in particular seems to function very well, it will hover quite stably even in a slight breeze, which is a revelation to someone like myself, whose previous drone experience was mostly with cheap non-GPS toy grade drones. Altitude hold also works well. When used in conjunction with the (free) app, you can access features like follow me (which I tried, and it works pretty well), circle mode, and waypoint navigation. The FPV WiFi feed to your phone looks very good, better than I was expecting, and the video gets recorded to your phone, as well as to an SD card in the drone. The 1080p camera quality is adequate, but nothing outstanding, so don't expect cinematic professional footage; good for this price range, though, and you can still get some pretty nice shots with it. The drone comes with a really nice zippered nylon carrying case, with foam inserts to securely hold the drone and its accessories, which is extremely useful, and unexpected at this price point. The physical design of the drone is very, well, drone-like, the sort of Phantom-esque shape that the general public tends to picture when they think of a drone. The size and shape actually remind me of the venerable old Syma X5C, if you're familiar with that one (but this one has vastly more technical features). The transmitter is different than what I'm used to, it's not the video game style that many inexpensive drones use, but a more professional looking design, with fold out grips and antennae (though I'm not sure if the latter are functional, or just for show), and clearly labeled buttons for the various functions. The drone is very responsive to the controls in flight, and is a lot of fun to fly. When video is recording, the control emits a low beeping, which I have read annoys some people, but I rather like it, it reassures me that I've remembered to start recording. I haven't had a chance to extensively test every feature, but so far I'm very pleased with this one. As someone whose previous drone experience was mostly with cheap, toy-grade stuff (and having been away from the hobby altogether for a couple years), I am pleased and surprised to see how many of the features of the more advanced drones have filtered down into the lower price ranges, and this company in particular seems to be very good at incorporating those features at a quite reasonable price point. I'd recommend this one to anyone who wants to get their feet wet in the hobby, without breaking the bank.
